This series will overview the agreement between the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) and the Bureau of Special Education (BSE). Throughout the series, participants will be introduced to tools for collaboration between OVR, BSE, and LEAs, as well as youth and families, pertaining to the provision of transition services for students with disabilities.

Objectives

Discuss the impact of the legal parameters of the OVR/BSE Memorandum of Understanding
Explain the features of the MOU plan
Identify strategies for collaboration

Describe and implement methods for engaging key stakeholders in the transition planning process
Identify resources for enhancing stakeholder engagement

Explain the relationship between efforts in the general education setting, services provided by OVR, and IDEA transition services
Identify strategies for the provision of comprehensive transition planning
