To assist districts in making appropriate ESY determinations we will address specific strategies and tips on how to make timely recommendations prior to and during virtual and hybrid learning. The second part of this session will look to offer digital solutions, tips, and strategies to address the social emotional needs of learners within remote, hybrid, and face-to-face (at a social distance) learning.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Identify policies and procedures for supporting students with disabilities in virtual environments, set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Bureau of Special Education
- Access and describe the educational resources provided by PaTTAN for use in the support of students with disabilities in virtual environments
- Describe evidence-based strategies and practices for use in the support of students with disabilities in virtual environments
Target Audience
General and Special Education Teachers, School Psychologist, Physical Therapist, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Behavior Specialist, Special Education Administrators, Principals, other administrators
