This Professional Learning Community (PLC) is an ongoing series of virtual interactive learning opportunities among Early Intervention School Psychologists with a focus on virtual and face-to-face evaluation practices, program consultation and collaboration, roles and responsibilities in Early Intervention, and the PLCs identified professional needs to support Preschool Early Intervention (EI) programs. Participants will use review and analysis, discussion, and personal reflections to apply topic content and implement in future professional practice. The PLC will focus on strengthening the role of the school psychologist as an integral part of Early Intervention.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Identify 2-3 ways to collaborate with other Preschool EI school psychologists from across PA to deepen knowledge and application of psychological and developmental evaluations/assessments in early intervention as reflections, challenges, new perspectives and successes are shared.
- Identify the advantages and challenges of virtual and face-to-face evaluation practices.
- List roles and responsibilities in Early Intervention around functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
- Identify shared resources to support best practices in Preschool Early Intervention.
