This session will provide an overview for conducting screening at the secondary level to include monitoring the progress of all students (including students with difficulties and disabilities) using the six measurable components of writing and other sources of formative assessment.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- List multiple ways to conduct reliable and valid screening and formative assessment at the secondary level to inform literacy instruction and intervention
- Interpret PVAAS Quintile and Projection Data to inform universal and supplemental services and supports in a Secondary MTSS
- Establish goals and monitor progress using the 6 measurable traits of writing

Building Principal, General Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, School Psychologist, Reading/Writing Specialist, Parents, IU TaC , MTSS Coordinator
