"The SCRIPT - the Strategic CSforALL Resource & Implementation Planning Tool - is a framework to guide teams of district administrators, school leaders, and educators through a series of collaborative visioning, self-assessment and goal-setting exercises to create or expand upon a computer science education implementation plan for their students" (CSforALL).
Initially, this workshop will focus on gaining a familiarity with Computer Science and CSinPA and the facilitation of SCRIPT Workshops. Next, facilitator trainees will observe and assist LEAs from across the commonwealth as they participate in a SCRIPT workshop which includes creating a CS Vision for their district, evaluating current CS programs and goal setting for future work.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Discuss the state of CS in PA
- Describe the SCRIPT, its purpose, and its application
- Prepare and facilitate a SCRIPT workshop with attending LEAs
Target Audience
STEM PoCs and TAC members from PA Intermediate Units
