Pathways of Progress is an effective system and tool for establishing individual student goals and determining student progress and rate of growth within the context of effective reading instruction. Participants will learn how to set reading goals that are meaningful, ambitious and attainable within the context of an outcomes driven model.

Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  1. Describe how to use Pathways to inform the health of core and supplemental reading instruction and intervention
  2. Identify needs of students at the grade, classroom and individual levels through data analysis and cut points associated with risk
  3. Determine the status and growth of each student relative to the growth of his/her academic like peers in order to inform Response to Intervention

Target Audience

DIBELS Next Mentors, IU MTSS/Literacy consultants, Elementary general and Special Education teachers, ESL Teachers, School Psychologists, Reading specialists, Speech/language therapists, Tiered providers, Administrators Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event.
