The Pennsylvania Training and Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN) is pleased to offer an opportunity for “new” SLPs to join together to discuss issues specifically pertaining to school settings. This lunch and learn group is intended for speech-language pathologists who have worked in the schools for five years or less. This network is not intended as a requirement for induction, nor is it offered for credit; however, the group will serve as an invaluable resource for those individuals interested in interacting with other school SLPs and learning more about school-based speech-language evaluation and treatment.
Objectives
Individuals interested in joining the SLPs Network may discuss topics such as:
- Medical vs. Educational Speech-Language Evaluation and Treatment
- Evaluation and the IEP Process
- Eligibility and Dismissal Criteria
- Managing Caseloads
- Service Delivery Options
Target Audience
Speech-Language Pathologists who have been in a school setting five years or less.
