As part of the P2G Coaching Series Year One, participants will be introduced to the concepts and strategies within instructional coach Jim Knight’s book “The Impact Cycle”.This session will focus on an overview of the three key components of the Impact Cycle including: Identify, Learn and Improve. P2G coaches will explore the utilization of video of instruction for self-reflection and coaching purposes. Additionally, they will learn about and engage with the Needs Assessment and Self-Assessment from The Impact Cycle in preparation for work with LEAs. Concepts and best practices associated with Andragogy will be discussed. Goal setting and action planning based upon the learning and the coaching tools within The Impact Cycle will be explored and facilitated during the day.


The participants will be able to:

1. Describe the coaching fidelity check list and define appropriate goals
2. Identify the different types of adult learners
3. Describe the utilization of video of instruction
4. Define andragogy
