Assessment for Students who are Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing

The purpose of the training is to present information on assessment for deaf and hard of hearing learners across the cognitive, academic, and social, emotional, and behavioral domains. During the session, we will discuss the importance of multiple measures of assessment and the use of assessment information to make instructional decisions. We will also discuss how to accurately report and interpret assessment results, including how to avoid common mistakes.

  • Describe how assessment results can be used to guide instructional decisions

Target Audience

Teachers, administrators, educational psychologists, Speech Language Pathologists and related service providers who work with deaf and hard of hearing learners

Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
