The purpose of this training is to train the trainers on how to deliver Scientific Literacy: Supporting Student Access to Life Science and Biology Content. This training provides an opportunity to enhance background knowledge around life science, biology, and special education skills. Teachers will have access to training materials in order to offer this training series to LEA´s or other educational professionals.

Objectives

  1. Review all materials from the Scientific Literacy training
  2. Clear up any misconceptions about content or materials from the Scientific Literacy training.
  3. Prepare TaC, and others to train using these modules

Target Audience

Special educators, science curriculum coordinators, STEM/STEAM coordinators, administrators, ESL teachers, and secondary literacy coaches.

Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
