This course is designed to provide an overview of what artificial intelligence (AI) is, how it can be used to support the work of teachers, and how teachers can utilize AI as a tool to streamline common tasks such as planning and communication. Participants will discover opportunities for using AI in lesson planning and classroom publication.

Participants will explore resources and strategies for understanding and utilizing AI. Educators will develop lessons and artifacts with the help of AI tools.

Objectives

Participants will

  • Identify and understand use cases for artificial intelligence (AI) in the classroom.
  • Explore tools and resources that can help educators utilize AI.
  • Create and share a lesson activity created using assistance from AI tools.
  • Reflect and articulate next steps for utilizing AI in the classroom.
  • Begin to identify how AI can be used to support UDL in the classroom

Target Audience

General education teachers, content-area teachers, special education teachers, English language learners teachers, librarians, specialists, instructional coaches.
