This training is offered by the PA Alternate Assessment Team and will address the unique challenges of students with BVI in the alternate assessment, provide an overview of the Personal Needs and Preferences Profile, distinguish between accommodations available through the online system and accommodations provided by the assessor, and review resources to support IEP Teams in accommodation planning.
Objectives
At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify Personal Needs and Preferences profile requirements to support students with Visual Impairments
- Distinguish between computer delivered accommodations and teacher delivered accommodations and critical details to support implementation
- Identify resources to support test alternate assessment administration for students with Visual Impairments
Target Audience
PASA/DLM Test Administrators, Teachers of students with Blind or other visual impairments, PASA/DLM Test Coordinators
