Introduction to Quality Indicators of Emotional Support Services and Programs for LEA Teams

Implementing Emotional Support services and programs requires a team focused, multidisciplinary approach. This session will introduce participants to a self-assessment tool, Quality Indicators of Emotional Support Services and Programs(QIESSP), that will support LEAS in implementing evidence-based Emotional Support services and programs. Features of the QIESSP document include alignment to the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching. LEAs interested in a deeper review of their Emotional Support services and programs will have the opportunity to apply for additional technical assistance and support from PaTTAN.
Objectives
At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
- Define how students are identified with the need for Emotional Support Services
- Review and discuss the seven domains of the QIESSP
- Explore and discuss the alignment of the Danielson Framework for Teaching with the revised QIESSP document
Target Audience
District Administrators, Special Education Directors/Supervisors, Principals, School Counselors, Teachers of Emotional Support Students, School Psychologists, General Education Teachers, Behavior Specialists, Related Service Providers
