The Team Initiated Problem Solving (TIPS) framework can be used to run efficient and effective meetings through the application of foundational principals and a data protocol. It can be used during meetings (e.g., PBIS, RTI, MTSS) focused on data-based decision making to improve student outcomes. TIPS is applicable to varied data sources, content areas, and levels of application. Participants will learn the basics of TIPS and gain the skills to begin immediate implementation of the framework.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Describe the TIPS problem solving model.
  • Identify and describe the TIPS foundational practices.
  • Demonstrate skills utilizing data throughout the TIPS problem solving model.
  • Demonstrate use of tools to engage in evaluation of the TIPS framework.
