Given the requirement for an interagency staff training approach under Employment First, this pre-conference session is designed to provide local teams the opportunity to gain understanding of each other's roles, build collaborative working relationships, and examine current programming gaps. Through the process of Discovering, Dreaming, and Delivering, teams will create strategic action plans to better support students with disabilities in competitive integrated employment.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • synthesize similarities and differences between transition legislation
  • summarize the roles of transition partners
  • analyze programming gaps and create strategic action plans at the local level
