This workshop will inform current i-Ready users on how to select growth and proficiency goals for students that are ambitious, realistic, comprehensive, understandable, and actionable. Problem-solving teams will understand how educators can bridge the gap between data and instruction in identifying teacher and student resources uniquely correlated to individual student skills. Educators will learn how measures can be used to motivate students, inform teachers, and provide educational leaders a clear view of what constitutes success and progress.
Objectives
Participants will be able to:
- Explain the relationship between assessments and instruction to enhance student progress and success.
- Identify and prioritize student goals related to growth and proficiency that are ambitious, realistic, comprehensive, understandable, and actionable.
- Define and describe the process in i-Ready’s standard setting in its relation to assessment and instruction.
- Identify the need for high expectations and growth through i-Ready’s grade-level placement.
