Session Dates

Tuesday September 24, 2019 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM - PaTTAN - CENTRAL

Closed

Every academic outcome that we hope students will achieve is comprised of three elements: academic skills, academic “behaviors” and social emotional factors that influence student engagement and ownership. This session will focus on evidence-based practices that integrate these elements into the delivery of classroom instruction and student performance within a multi-tiered system. Each team will “build” their integrated system progressively throughout the day by reflecting on their existing practices in the context of the practices presented during this session.

Objectives:

Participants will be able to:

  1. Identify effective teaching strategies designed to engage diverse learners and improve rates of growth.
  2. Identify strategic behavior supports that increase student engagement and are related to improved student outcomes.
  3. List the four primary approaches to integrating social emotional learning into classroom instruction.
  4. Create an initial outline for how their team will approach and implement their integrated model.
