The Project MAX Administrative Professional Learning Community (PLC) will assist administrators in leading change within their schools/districts related to Project MAX. Throughout the PLC, we will focus on the managing complex change, discussing various leadership approaches, using data to increase student achievement, utilizing tools to support collaboration and continuous discussions/activities related to the content of the PLC.
Objectives
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Identify key concepts necessary to lead change
- Make connections between current practices/initiatives and the framework for Project MAX
- Describe ways to make Project MAX an integral and embedded part of the building/program (wide spread adoption through wide spread community)
- Reflect on state and district educational placement data and connections to Project MAX
- Review relationship between current assessment practices and Project MAX
- Link implementation of Project MAX to the Educator Effectiveness model
- Compare initial and recent thoughts regarding Project MAX
- Analyze tools that support collaboration
- Discuss strategies to sustain and scale-up Project MAX
Target Audience
Cohort 3 Project MAX Administration and Replication school administrators
Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
