In this session, we will discuss a socially just and anti-racist approach to supporting Black students in schools. We will cover ways to work against existing disparities in schools and reimagine schools as sites of healing and support for Black students. We will discuss policies and interventions that show the most promise for supporting Black students and identify roles that all educators can play in making schools safe and supportive spaces for Black youth.
Target Audience
General education and special education administrators and teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, professional development staff, and families of students with disabilities are encouraged to attend.
