48. Cortex in the Classroom: Using the Neuroscience of Reading for Classroom Impact
Friday March 03, 2023 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM - Hershey Lodge and Convention Center
What do findings from cognitive neuroscience mean for early reading instruction? Most importantly, what are the concrete implications for classroom practice? These questions will be at the heart of this session, which will focus on the neuroscience behind early reading and spelling development - and how to apply findings to classrooms. This session will be interactive, and participants will leave with actionable insights, frameworks, and methods to apply in their work with early readers and with teachers of reading.
General education and special education administrators and teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, professional development staff, and families of students with disabilities are encouraged to attend.
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event. Contact: Debra Jordan at (610) 878-7224 or email@example.com
