21. Legally Defensible Progress Monitoring: Common Problems and Simple Solutions
Thursday March 02, 2023 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM - Hershey Lodge and Convention Center
Progress monitoring is an inherent part of the special education process, but progress monitoring results can be confusing, inconsistent, and too often not even an accurate measurement of the skill they are designed to measure. In this session, Atty. Erin D. Gilsbach focuses on the legal importance of progress monitoring. She discusses some of the common problems and pitfalls that prevent them from being able to monitor a student’s progress accurately and easily, and she provides simple, practical solutions for improving progress monitoring across educational settings.
General education and special education administrators and teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, professional development staff, and families of students with disabilities are encouraged to attend.
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event. Contact: Debra Jordan at (610) 878-7224 or firstname.lastname@example.org
