2023 Pennsylvania Department of Education (In-Person) Conference
7. Student Success through Universal Technology Supports
Session Dates
Wednesday March 01, 2023 2:45 PM - 3:45 PM - Hershey Lodge and Convention Center
Closed
Are you committed to seeing your students succeed, including those with disabilities? This session will explore technology supports that can be used universally to accelerate student learning. We will discuss using technology as a layered continuum of support via inclusive pedagogical frameworks, such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL). We will also explore universal technology supports in a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework, including universal, targeted, and individualized technology for all students. There will be an explanation of the continuum of universal technology supports to assistive technology (AT) for students who receive special education services. Participants will explore proposed models emphasizing strategies for making technology implementation decisions. There will be interactive discussions to help participants discuss and clarify the technology used in MTSS, UDL, and as AT.
Target Audience
General education and special education administrators and teachers, paraprofessionals, school psychologists, professional development staff, and families of students with disabilities are encouraged to attend.
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate individuals who have special needs as addressed by the Americans with Disabilities Act and who need assistance at this event. Contact: Debra Jordan at (610) 878-7224 or
