Preparing for post-secondary transition can be an overwhelming process for many students; for students with deaf-blindness, there are even more considerations for the student, family, and school team to examine and incorporate into the plan. Come join us as members of Allegheny Intermediate Unit 3’s Deaf-Blind Resource Team share their experiences in partnering with one of the teams in their region to support a deaf-blind student and their family through the transition process.
Participants will be able to:
- Identify at least three major considerations for transition when working with deaf-blind students.
- List at least two important resources for transition information/supports for deaf-blind students and their families.
- Describe one action for future learning regarding secondary transition and deaf-blind students.

Teachers, administrators, speech language pathologists, related service providers, consultants, training and consulting staff, paraprofessionals, family members
