The HELIX Conference is going virtual this year! Join us for the same quality sessions as previous years with access to national experts from the comfort of your computer! Two daily afternoon sessions will focus on evidence-based practices for students with visual impairments, who are Deaf-Blind, with hearing loss, with intellectual disabilities, who have an acquired brain injury, and/or with complex communication needs. We hope this virtual conference will be a space for teachers, administrators, therapists, and family members to join across the state in the support of high expectations for students with low incidence disabilities.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Define tools and data that teachers and classroom staff can implement to support high expectations for students with low incidence disabilities.
- Illustrate how evidence-based and high leverage practices can be implemented within the classroom.
- Construct and reflect on current and future personal professional development goals based on the strategies shared.
