Join us for the 3rd annual HELIX Conference where we maximize access, set high expectations, make connections, and dare to dream with our students with low incidence disabilities. Come to the conference to learn from national experts, network with colleagues from across the state, and take home evidence-based practices and strategies that you can use with your students! This is a diverse conference that serves the needs of students with visual impairment, who are Deaf-Blind, with hearing loss, with intellectual disabilities, who have an acquired brain injury, and/or with complex communication needs by creating valuable learning opportunities for teachers, administrators, therapists, and family members.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Select resources and strategies that they can apply in their classroom with their students with low incidence disabilities.
- Identify evidence-based research interventions and practices that align to the needs of their students and their classroom instruction.
- Describe instructional methods and how they could be implemented in the classroom.
