This conference will focus on enhancing leadership skills through opportunities to learn from experts in the field on current leadership practices. Participants will have the opportunities to learn strategies for enhancing individual leadership skills. Through the identification of strength-based supports, participants will gain insights into approaches for working collaboratively across systems, disciplines and program boundaries.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Increase awareness of leadership roles and personal leadership values.
- Identify individualized strategies to help enhance team productivity, to develop engaged, talented and aligned teams and promote effective collaboration among teams and organizations.
- Develop leadership skills within an agency and shared leadership across agencies working with young children.
- Engage in discussion groups that will provide opportunities to share innovative ideas, address pertinent issues, and discuss effective leadership practices for improving outcomes for children and families.
Target Audience
Invited participants from the following–Early Intervention, Early Learning Resources Centers Early Childhood Education, and Behavioral Health Leaders, Family Leaders, State Interagency Coordinating Council members, Early Learning Council members, Higher Education, OCDEL staff and TA partners
