The Great Start conference addresses service needs and programming for young children (birth-age 5) with deafness/hearing loss; deaf-blindness; blindness and visual impairments; complex needs and traumatic brain injury. The conference focuses on providing current information to increase the skills and knowledge of those living and working with these children. Topics to be addressed include working as a team in early intervention, activities that promote listening and spoken language, Deaf insight and potential, services available for children with visual impairments and evidence-based practices for teaching children with sensory impairments and traumatic brain injury.

Parents, teachers, special instructors, speech and language clinicians, audiologists, paraprofessionals, occupational therapists, physical therapists, consultants, service coordinators, and administrators working with young children with deafness and hearing loss, blindness, visual impairment, deaf-blindness, and traumatic brain injury
