Promoting Self-Regulation Strategies in the Mathematics Classroom

This session will highlight specific behavioral techniques that teachers can utilize in the mathematics classroom. Methods to increase student motivation, self-confidence, and self-regulation will be reviewed. Such methods will include setting high expectations, establishing learning intentions and success criteria, and differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
