Maximizing Outcomes for English Learners

This workshop will address culturally responsive practices in the school community with an emphasis on examining the ecology of our diverse English learners and the policies and practices that impact Language Instruction Educational Programs in Pennsylvania. Participants will explore evidence-based practices that support ELs’ engagement through student interactions to learn concepts, practices and disciplinary-related discourse while developing English language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Evidence-based resources aligned to different grade levels will be shared.
