The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Bureau of Special Education is pleased to announce the Pennsylvania Computer Science For All (CSforAllPA) Summit. This year’s Summit will be offered as a two day hands-on intensive workshop where educators will iteratively develop a universal-designed and standards-aligned computer science (CS) lesson plan.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Explain the Pennsylvania Department of Education's established objectives and initiatives for computer science education.
  • Identify fundamental K-12 computer science education practices to prepare students for the Pennsylvania workforce.
  • List example instructional activities to exemplify core computer science concepts and practices.
  • Describe a universal-designed and standards-aligned Computer science (CS) lesson plan.

Target Audience

K-12 educators who are teaching or will be teaching computer science.

Topics Covered: STEM
