Family Engagement Coordinators

Your Family Engagement Consultants (FEC) play a large role in ensuring the success of the family engagement component.  The Project employs parents or family members of children and youth, who are deaf-blind, in these efforts.  The two state-wide Family Engagement Consultants with the PA Deaf-Blind Project are Molly Black and Patti McGowan.  Both family consultants have a passion to support other families by providing the following services:

• Individualized consultation to identify the most relevant information and resources to meet each family’s unique needs
• Opportunities for families to connect and support one another
• Information and training on how families can most effectively advocate on behalf of their children
