Teacher Education Program Curriculum

The content in the Curriculum Training modules is designed to provide educators with information across a variety of topics shown to be important in supporting middle school students. Middle school is an important time in a child’s education and intervention at this point can positively impact student trajectory toward later high-school graduation. As such, the Curriculum Training provides a framework for the Early Warning System and how to use the key data to direct interventions to support middle school students, especially those with emotional/behavioral concerns.

The Curriculum Training comprises 9 core modules (shown below), which provide evidence-based information on the framework and intervention areas. Each module contains a voice-over presentation, an information sheet, and additional resources. The modules may be completed sequentially or independently.

Ongoing Professional Development

The content in the Ongoing Professional Development is designed to provide learners with information across a variety of topics shown to be important in supporting middle school students. Middle school is an important time and intervention at this point can positively impact student trajectory toward later high-school graduation. 


The Ongoing Professional Development comprises 9 core modules (shown below), which provide evidence-based information across characteristics, assessment, and intervention areas. Each module contains a voice-over presentation, a brief suggested discussion activity for participants, and additional resources. In addition to the core modules, supplemental modules will be updated on an ongoing basis based on needs in the field and feedback from end users.
