The TOPAZ SpaceSaver is a compact desktop video magnifier designed for use by individuals with visual impairments who are working in smaller spaces or are moving between working with documents and using a computer. The video magnifier features a small nine inch camera and comes with a 17 inch color switchable flat panel monitor. Because the system is designed to be used in work or classroom situations where users will be viewing mostly 8.5 inch x 11 inch documents, the product does not include an X/Y table. There are 8.25 inches of workspace under the camera. The monitor works with both the magnification camera and the computer, which eliminates the need for a separate computer monitor. The SpaceSaver magnifies up to 78X original size. Users can customize the views to include split views (horizontally or vertically), masking, and guide lines. There are 28 customizable and interchangeable high-contrast color modes, a position locator to ensure proper placement of the object being viewed, and focus lock.
