Family Partnerships

Family Partnerships

While supporting schools is essential to helping students successfully transition from high school to college and employment, supporting their families is also a critical piece. Families will be present to support their children both during high school, college, and possibly into employment. And while the move from high school to college is a significant change for students, it is also a substantial change for families. Working with families to understand how their role will change, how schools can support them with the transition, and how they can support their students is necessary to improving post-secondary outcomes. To this end, the project sponsors parent networking calls multiple times across the year to allow parents of students in schools connected with the project to talk with each other to ask questions, exchange ideas, and offer support. Currently, our parent networking calls are facilitated by parent consultants from the Families to the MAX Network, and are open to our partner schools. Please check back for more information, as these calls may be open more broadly in the future.
