Progress Monitoring for Students with IEPs: An Introduction - This session describes the purpose of, and requirements around, progress monitoring in an IEP. Effective progress monitoring procedures are presented as well as examples of progress monitoring reports. Useful resources for accessing additional information about progress monitoring are included. This session includes the recorded webinar, transcript, and handouts, and a discussion guide that can be used to facilitate conversation about the content during the presentation. These materials can be used to supplement professional development programs aimed at increasing the knowledge of general and special education teachers regarding the special education process.

Measurement of student growth in writing is critically important because of the strong relationship that exists between learning to write and reading comprehension. This webinar will review the use of a continuum of measures for monitoring student writing progress, samples of IEP goals, and implications for instruction.

Project MAX was created to increase the capacity of Pennsylvania schools to provide all students, including those with complex instructional needs, with maximum access to and learning of the general education curriculum and the Pennsylvania Core Standards. This session will focus on the purpose of Project MAX, program structures, and benefits of the program. The presenters will share their teams' journey implementing Project MAX.
