Cross-disciplinary teams will assess implementation of a tiered system of support for mathematics via existing data outcomes from fall to winter relative to Tier 1, 2 and 3 efforts. Participants will identify areas of strength and need and continue to expand their continuum of evidence-based instructional math practices. Participants will also refine their use of RtI methodologies to inform the overall effectiveness of their tiered systems and eligibility determination process.
Objectives
- Identify implementation of evidence-based practices matched to student need using case study illustrations and existing data
- Describe the conceptual underpinnings of Rate of Improvement (ROI)
- Use progress-monitoring data to calculate ROI and inform instructional intensification
- Explain RtI Methodologies as indicators of tiered model effectiveness and sustainability
Target Audience
Building Principal, General Education Teacher(s), Special Education Teachers (s), School Psychologist, Reading/Writing Specialist, Parent (optional), IU TaC (required), MTSS Coordinator
Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
