This training will provide emotional support teachers and classroom team members with research-based practices to support their implementation of both behavior and academic supports for students. The training includes structured book studies of two books that will feature author presentations with opportunities for questions and answers.

Objectives

At the end of this training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe evidence-based effective instructional methodologies to increase outcomes for all learners.
  • Identify 4 components of Behavioral Skills Training (BST) and how this training model is utilized to increase staff performance and competency of a particular skill.
  • Identify tools and strategies to increase student engagement and decrease problem behavior.

Emotional Support and General Education Teachers, Behavior Specialist, Para Educator, LEAs, and Special Education Supervisors
