State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP): Coherent Improvement Strategies

IDEA 2004 requires states to implement the requirements and purposes of the Act and improve outcomes for students with disabilities. Within the Act, states must develop a State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP). Pennsylvania’s plan is to systematically increase the graduation rate for students with disabilities. The focus is on the adoption and implementation of innovative evidence-based practices, otherwise referred to as Coherent Improvement Strategies.

  2. To search by topic, click the drop-down menu “Filter by Topic.” Once you have selected a topic, click “Go.”
  3. Click the title of the publication to access the publication’s record.
  4. To view the publication, click the Download button.
  5. The publication will open in a new tab in your browser. You may either view the document or save it to your computer.
  6. To order a publication in hard copy, enter in the quantity you wish to order and click the “Add to Cart” button.
  7. If the “Add to Cart” button is not visible, the publication is available only for download.
  8. When you have finished shopping, click "My Account" at the top of the page, then click “My Cart."
  9. ​Confirm the quantity desired for each publication. To remove a publication from your order, click "Remove."
  10. Click “Checkout.”​
  11. Upon successful transaction, an order confirmation will be sent to you.
