This webinar is a started guide intended for professionals working with students who are blind, visually impaired, and/or deaf-blind, who want to learn the basics of the Sendero Group´s Seeing Eye GPS App. This webinar will cover the benefits and frequently asked questions of accessible GPS. It will also include basic app functions, accuracy, and maps. In addition, it will introduce participants to the app´s screen layout, function buttons, and use of important functions such as: Location, LookAround Mode, Point of Interest (POI), and Routes. Finally, this webinar will demonstrate how to create various routes, save POIs, and provide helpful tips for using the app.
Objectives
Participants will:
- List the basic features of the Seeing Eye GPS app
- Describe the app layout
- Identify real world examples in which features of Seeing Eye GPS app can be applied
Target Audience
Orientation and Mobility Specialists, Teachers of the Visually Impaired, AT TAC, Deaf-Blind,
Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
