In this presentation, we will discuss the language learning profile of school-age children with Developmental Language Disorder.  We will describe the language demands of elementary school science curriculum and then discuss how these language demands align with the profile observed in children with Language Disorder. We will provide an overview of evidence based approaches to grammar and vocabulary intervention and illustrate how these techniques can be deployed during academic instruction.  Participants will have an opportunity to practice identifying challenging language/language targets within the curriculum and identify opportunities to apply EBP language intervention techniques in isolation and within curricular components.
