An educator’s choice of words can be a help or hindrance in the school and classroom environment. Through a review of evidence-based practices and neuroscience discoveries, participants will gain skills in increasing clarity, maximizing feedback, boosting student engagement, promoting equity and building positive relationships. Instructional strategies include lecture, small group discussion and structured experiences will allow participants to walk away with school and classroom-level strategies for using positive language to help all students grow, thrive, and find academic success.
