Enhancing Team Functioning through Facilitation Skill Development

Many teams and team-based facilitators share a vision for enhanced team functioning but struggle with cultivating and mastering critical process skills. This workshop will help practitioners become more effective team members and/or facilitators via key facilitation skills, techniques, video-based instruction, practice opportunities and tools.

Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  1. Define effective facilitator roles and responsibilities, beliefs and skill sets
  2. List a range of tools that if used effectively will result in enhanced team functioning
  3. Identify steps for improving facilitation skills.

Target Audience

General and Special Education Teachers, Administrators, Instructional Coaches, Data Coaches, Reading Specialists, ESL providers, School Counselors, School Psychologists.

Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
