In this session, Pennsylvania Eastern Region IU TaCs will network with PaTTAN Consultants regarding current educational initiative areas. Consultation and facilitation skills will be further developed in order to enhance training and technical assistance provided to LEAs in the eastern region through designated educational initiative areas. Additionally, tools and resources related to understanding and promoting mental wellness in schools with both students and staff will be provided.

Objectives

  1. List two responsibilities of required initiative work for the upcoming school year.
  2. Identify two ways to increase awareness of Mental Wellness in both school and work place.
  3. Explain the difference between Mental Health and Mental Wellness.

Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
