Project MAX coaches provide a cycle of support and feedback to their team members that promote effective instructional practices in teaching students with complex instructional needs. This session will provide coaches with the knowledge and skills needed to use the tools and resources utilized in planning for capacity-building and sustaining practices as the team plans to scale up their work over the coming years. Coaches will review the requirements for scale-up in future years and discuss strategies that can be utilized in supporting the teams as they expand their practice. Strategies for using the three-step coaching model will be shared.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • List various coaching tools and strategies
  • Describe strategies and examples for using the 3-step coaching model
