This session will provide IU TaCs who serve the Eastern Region of Pennsylvania with an opportunity to share and further develop their training, consultation skills in assigned initiative and project areas. Resources and tools will be provided that are applicable to the specific needs of the multifaceted role of providing training and consultation across the Eastern Region.

Objectives

  1. Participants will complete a list of critical needs for effective consultation with school teams.
  2. Participants will identify and self-select four areas of practice and participate in group discussions by explaining current practice, specific needs and follow-up action steps for continuous improvement.
  3. Participants will list one-to-three specific strategies that they will implement to increase efficient team communication and/or professional organization.

Individuals attending this course must arrive on time and stay the duration of the course in order to receive Act 48 Professional Education hours. Requests for exceptions are to be brought to the attention of the individual´s Superintendent or IU Director prior to the course.
