Assessment Accommodations

Accommodations are an essential part of instruction and assessment of students who are deaf or hard of hearing. The student’s team should ensure that necessary accommodations are defined in the student’s IEP or 504 plan and readily available to the student during instruction and assessment. In addition to accommodations for formative and summative assessments that occurs as part of traditional instruction, school teams must be aware of the special guidelines that apply to administration of the PSSA, PASA, and Keystone exams.
