Hour with the Expert - Engaging Students in Their Own Data-Driven Decision Making
Speaking:
11/17/2020
The opportunity to own and monitor data can be transformative for students. In this session, we will explore a process of how to establish a data rich culture in a class to ensure that data-based decisions are made frequently, consistently, and appropriately. When it comes to using classroom assessment for learning to enhance student achievement, having students track and monitor their progress is key. We will discuss the assessment-capable strategy which engages students to ask...Where am I now? Where am I going? How do I get there? Practical examples, resources, and tools will be provided throughout the session to empower students to use their data to establish goals, and eventually lead their IEP meetings.
