Hour with the Expert - Audiology & COVID: What It Means for Students Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

This talk will summarize current evidence-based practice for audiologic management during the COVID-19 pandemic, with a focus on in person clinic visits. Habits for appropriate infection prevention will be reviewed. Amending barriers to communication for children with hearing impairment, including the impact of face masks (or other appropriate PPE), and considerations for assistive devices will also be addressed.
