Engaging Students in Learning: A Focus on Differentiation of Instruction for ELLs

Differentiation of instruction and assessment for ELLs will be addressed, including hands-on engagement in development of grade-level content lesson plans. Special attention will be paid to the diverse language and learning needs of ELLs. Participants will be required to add accommodations that are aligned to ELLs in levels 3 (Developing) or 4 (Expanding) to a lesson plan for a content area using a checklist and actively engage in the “Engaging Students in Learning: A Focus on Differentiation of Instruction for ELLs Forum” as part of this course.
