Currently, Kenesta Mack
is serving as an Adviser employed by the Bureau of Special Education/PDE in the East Region. Her caseload is focused on charter schools, but she has also been assigned many other responsibilities within the Bureau. She comes to the BSE with an extensive background in Special Education from the School District of Philadelphia as a teacher, Coordinator for Alternative Education, and Special Education Liaison at The Young Women’s Leadership School at Rhodes High School and Strawberry Mansion High School. Kenesta participated in the PA Department of Education Fellowship Program and serves as an Adjunct Professor at Eastern University. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Temple University, Master of Science from Saint Joseph’s University, and she holds certificates in the areas of Special Education and Principal; both completed at Eastern University. Most recently, Kenesta wrote the forward for “Beyond the Yellow Cheese: The Story of Desiree Patterson”. She will also begin the Doctorate of Education Program at Millersville University in the fall.
